Museum of Bolivian coastline

The coastline’s loss, during the war against Chile in the 19th century, marked the economic, social and political future of the country. The museum recently opened again its doors to the public and is organized in such a way that visitors become aware of the remarkable historic fact that represents for the country. There are documents, clothes of Bolivian soldiers, their weapons and some symbols that have been recovered over time, coming from the epic battle on the Pacific Coast and on the Atacama. It is very distinctive because of the colonial architecture of the house that is shared with the museum of precious metals and the museum of customs. Opening hours: from Tuesday to Friday, from 9 am to 12.30pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, from 9 am to 1 pm.
